How To Decorate A Photography Tent For Craft Fairs

I know, you lot've been waiting and waiting to see our booth from the arts and crafts fair I did concluding weekend – well, here it is in all it's celebrity.  Keep in listen I took all the pictures pretty tardily into the second solar day, so if it seems empty, that may be why.  Anyways, hither information technology is – I think it was the cutest 1 there!!

Information technology was fun to do it as a group – for several reasons:

–nosotros split up the booth cost (they tin be pricey)

–we were able to bounciness set-up ideas off of each other

–we all didn't have to exist there at once – we could run around and shop at other booths, stand up in line for various fair blazon foods (I and so wish I would have taken a movie of Kilee eating that giant turkey leg with rubber gloves on!), run for bathroom breaks, etc.

– – -Craft Booth Fair Tips from these great gals are on downwardly, then keep on reading….. – – –

(notice the tutorial on the utility aprons Hither)
—–Nosotros wanted a prissy make clean,  vivid await.  So we gathered white sheets from various austerity stores/garage sales to utilise as table cloths and drapery dividers (our tent didn't have sides).  To bring bright colors into the infinite we did a few things.

Duct Tape Rug: – – originally we wanted a rug to pull the space together and make it inviting.  I wanted to find a discarded rug at a garage sale and stencil it.  Simply I never did.  And so I bought duct tape, thinking well-nigh THIS cool floor.  I just bought a couple of rolls of duct tape and taped a pattern to the ground.  The imitation rug got LOTS of comments.

Pennant Banners: since at that place were 3 carve up shops, nosotros each choose a color as our theme.  On our private tables, we had pennant banners in our color.  Beyond the front and back of the tent, we had larger banners that included each of our colors.  I have a tutorial on how to make pennant banners Hither. (and in these beginning two following pictures, the portable peg board cases have a tutorial Hither.)

Pom Poms: nosotros also had pom poms in our colors hanging on the front of the tent and from the ceiling inside – it really brought our booth a whole new level.  Martha Stewart has a great tutorial – they're super easy to make.  They were made alee of time except for the fluffing out part- that we did as we ready and then they were easier to send.

—–Then, moving on from color and effulgence, hither'southward some views of our table displays. I think layering the display on lots of levels is a must  – makes for a more interesting setup.

We used stools and small cabinets to get unlike top levels.  The outfit sample display was upwardly and at eye level – it drew in lots of looks.

A saucepan on the floor held blankets:

Outfits hung from the bars of the tent – nosotros tried to use all the space the best we could:

A couple other display boards that sat on the ground:

Under ane of our primary tables we had a shorter table pulled out slighter, to add a lower level to display things on – see the shorter tabular array sticking out:

—–Signs – we had lots of signs all over the tables – little chalkboards on sticks – sorry I forgot to take pictures of them, but we got the idea Hither.

In addition to that, we had a big pointer sign out front end to bring people in – nosotros kept with the chalkboard theme.  I only had Trevor cutting some flake wood and I spraypainted it with chalkboard paint – I'll hopefully take a tutorial on how he congenital the bottom of the stand coming soon. (update: tutorial Hither)

We each likewise printed our logo at OfficeMax (it price nigh $10, mine is 1 ft by 2ft).  Then I sprayed the back with spray glue and stuck information technology to a foam-cadre board.  These hung in the back and side of our display.

Also kind of in the "sign section" – nosotros each had business cards on the tables and passed them out to anyone who seemed remotely interested in the products.  The other gals put discount codes to their etsy shops on the back of their cards, so they can track how much traffic they get in future sales considering of the craft booth.

—–A few more Tips and Hints about Arts and crafts Off-white Booths from the other gals (keep in mind, this was our first one, and so we're not experts!)——-

Holly, from HollyberrysDolls Etsy shop – she sells cute clothes for 18in (American Girl) Dolls, doll princess outfits, matching daughter and dolls outfits and jammies, and the cutest doll sleeping bags.

Her hints:
–Taking credit cards is a must…two/3 of my sales were credit cards.
–Presentation patently to describe them in.
–I would also say to know what type of audience the event will cater to.  That way you know if they are willing to pay your price or not.

Kilee, from One little Belt – she sells baby and toddler belts, which, if you've always tried to look for one, are next to incommunicable to find.  She was telling me about how they make them – it involves a whole hibernate of a cow, and they cutting it into strips – who knew!

Her hints:

1. Start early. Brainstorm and assemble ideas of the await and feel of your platonic booth and kickoff there. It will evolve as you lot go, but having a rough sketch early volition help a lot. Y'all'll besides be able to watch at thrift stores, garage sales and for deals on the things you need if y'all accept a month (or ii) to expect.

2. Accept credit cards. The swipe devices are free and unproblematic to use. It saved a lot of sales for us.

iii. Pick a theme and decorate. A lot of buyers were drawn to the eyecatching decor we used. It helped get customers in.

4. Share a booth with a friend or bring one for the entire time. It was great to have someone who could let you run to the bathroom and keep you visitor. We also found it was much easier to talk upwardly each other's products than our own. We helped each other sell more than!
